She is a stunning 5
foot eight inches, Assamese beauty.
She went to school at
Jamnabai Narsee, then Mithibai, followed by Raheja, where she finished
her interior design course.
She got interested in
modeling after doing a dozen inter-collegiate fashion shows.
She won the Nivea
face award, which won her a free portfolio, and changed her course of
things.
Her portfolio was
done by by Farokh Chotia, The portfolio was like self-realization for
her.
Her first break was
the Ponds campaign, which was shot by Farokh Chotia.
Her other campaigns
were Mescos, VIP, De Beers, Organics, Limca, Timex, Director’s Special
and Oxemberg to name a few.
She’s a model, TV
anchor and a practicing interior designer.
She doesn’t believe
that exposing ones body can lead to success.
About her career
plans she says, both interior designing and modeling are her
profession.
About modeling, she
says " It’s a business, where you should know how to deal with people
and communicate with them. You should be smart enough not to undercut
yourself and sell yourself cheap
